Bible Story- Jonah
Theme- Ocean
Today started playing inside as we waited for everyone to arrive.
Since everything was pretty wet outside on the playground we went for a walk instead. Everyone loves to pick out animals that we can walk like. We also has a good time running a lap around the mileage track (cemetery). There are some very speedy kids in our class!
Back inside we played in the kitchen and read books while we waited for morning meeting time.
During morning meeting we talked about the story of Jonah and watched a short video about him. Since our theme is ocean, we talked about different things we see on the beach and what lives in the water. I gave hints for a few things I saw on vacation at the beach and we played a guessing game to what I was describing. Then we danced to some favorites like "This Little Light of Mine" and "I've Got the Joy."
After snack, the sun had dried up the playground enough to go outside. Everyone stayed very busy on the bikes, cars, slide, and rock pit.
When we came inside, we painted a big fish and put Jonah inside.
While everyone waited for their turn, we danced to some music.
