Bible story - David and Goliath  Theme - crosses

Today is our last day of Summer Camp.  We have had a wonderful time with your children this summer.  First off, thank you for sharing your child with us.  I know it has been a challenge at times to leave your child with us, knowing they are crying.  We hope that the kids have enjoyed their time with us as well.  Some days it was better than others but we had fun.

We combined our classrooms today for the last time.  We went outside to play early while it was a little cooler.  The kids made a cross this morning using rolled up tissue paper and gluing it to a cross with a magnet on back for them to attach to the refrigerator or door.  We ate snack and watched a video of David and Goliath before heading up to the gym to run and play for one last time.  One preschool class came in while we were there and played with the little ones.  We were there for a while before heading back to the classroom for lunch.  Today was Pizza Party so we had cheese pizza, applesauce and a unicorn cake for dessert.  It was a little messy but fun.

We brought the kids in a few a time to make their cross.  That way they still had some play time outside while it was still nice and cool out.  They were out playing one last time on the playground before school starts in a few weeks.

Watching the video before we go up to the gym to play.

Going to line up to head up to the gym.

In the gym, some of the little ones had siblings in the Preschool class that came in later to play.  The kids always love to get the small and large rings out to run and chase after.

One last group picture in the gym before we head back for our Pizza Party.  We had a helper today, Mason, whose mom was helping in our room today as well.  He played with the kids, letting them chase him around the gym. I think they wore him out too.

Our Pizza Party - some of my friends brought their lunch but they had a slice of pizza as well.  There was applesauce and unicorn cakes also.  A little messy but was good
