Bible story for this week - Good Samaritan and our theme is Community Leaders.  To me, they both go well together. Community leaders are similar to the Good Samaritan as they both help others.

Today we went out early to play outside before the heat became too unbearable.  After playing outside, we came in to eat our snack.  Playing outside made the kids hungry and thirsty.  After snack the kids had free choice to play with construction toys or blocks while I worked with each child on their craft.  We made dragonflies using the confetti paint and shook some glitter flakes on the body and wings.  After everyone was done making their craft, we watched the story of the Good Samaritan on the TV.  We did some dancing and got some of the wiggles out before lunch. Today's lunch was pasta, applesauce and some garlic bread.  Some of our friends had brought their lunch but ate a piece of the bread and others ate the pasta.  Messy faces when we were done but they enjoyed the pasta.

Sitting on the couch doing a little reading while waiting for friends to arrive.

Playing with the construction toys, blocks and doing a few puzzles before going outside.  Reading books to friends as well.

Playing on the riding toys and going down the slide.  Have to check out the side of the playground to see if the garbage truck is coming thru.

Working together to do a puzzle.  It was a little harder to do than the usual ones.  This one they had to figure out where the pieces of the dinosaurs went.  It took them a bit with a little help.

While waiting to paint their dragon flies, the kids took turns doing puzzles, sliding down the climber and playing with other toys in the room.  They did a great job on painting the popsicle sticks to make the dragon flies.
