Bible Story - David and Goliath - Theme - Crosses

Today was our Water Play day.  The kids played in different areas this morning while we waited to go outside to have our fun in the water.  There was play dough out to make things with as well as our regular collection of toys out to play with.  We went out early  play in the water.  There was the water table with toys to use to dump water or float boats in.  I had bubbles out for the kids to use as well.  We used a fly swatter as well as a strainer (plastic one that was a part of a toy set).  They soon found out that the strainer as well as the fly swatter only made little bubbles but we did have some wands from other bubble containers that made bigger bubbles yet.  Water was sprayed in the air and the kids ran under it to get wet.  We were out for quite a while being the weather was nice.  While getting everyone changed, we listened to some music in our room and then watched the video of David and Goliath together with the front room.  The kids had some more free play time being they were wound up from being outside in the water.  I put on some dance music for them to get the wiggles out before lunch.  Due to being outside playing for so long, we didn't do a craft today.  With the weather so nice, it was better to be outside and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine.

The kids had so much fun outside playing in the water and making bubbles.  They all had a good time using the different tools to make bubbles.  We worked more on sharing as we had a total of 22 kids on the playground with both ELP rooms out together.  It has been nice to see that they are learning to share and help each other out.

Some free time play.  We had an extra helper today as well.  My assistant's daughter, Maddie, helped out in our room for the morning.  The kids enjoyed having a new face in the room to help build with.

Of course we had to put on Baby Shark.  I know the song by heart and sometimes at home I am humming the song or even singing it.  It is a catchy tune.  They love it though and will do all the actions, even the little ones who don't normally participate.

Last we did Tooty Ta to get the wiggles out before lunch.  It is a fun song and there are some funny actions that go along with it.  I think it helps with hand and eye coordination as well.
