Bible story - Jonah and the Whale - Theme - Animals
Today is Friday and we have only one more week of Summer Camp. Time flies by so fast during the summer months.
We combined both the ELP classes today. We went outside to play this morning early and it was a gorgeous day to be out. Mrs. Koenig brought out bubbles for the kids to chase. We came in for snack and after that it was time to make our craft. Today it was a handprint camel. When we would paint the kids' hands, they would giggle because it tickled. We got out a school bus/fire truck tent for the kids to play in as well. They would all go in and out. There was music for them to listen to and dance with as well. We did go up to the Commons to play for a bit to wear down before lunch.

We thought we had done pretty good yesterday with getting the right pieces of clothing to the right child. I had switched 2 pairs of shoes in my room and Mrs. Koenig has a pair that went home with the wrong child. If these belong to your child, please let us know. We will keep them in Mrs. Koenig's room.

Playing outside. It has been so nice to be able to go outside this week. We have been enjoying going out as much as possible to play, usually early in the morning before it gets hot.
Playing in the school bus/fire truck tent. They really like to hang out in there. They would pop in and out of it. There was music for them to dance to as well. This was open play for them while we set up the craft and started to paint hands
It was hard to try and paint little hands that kept opening and closing when you got close with the paint brush.
We put on a Paw Patrol video for them to watch while we cleaned up our paint mess. They knew all the characters. I didn't know anything about Paw Patrol until this last fall and the little ones had to tell me who was who.
Learning to share means that you say sorry when you take something away from a friend.
Running in the Commons to get rid of some energy. The gym was being used by older kids today. We got out some large and small hoops for the kids to play with. Some are learning how to roll the hoops while others bring them to the teachers to roll and they chase after the hoop.
