This week's bible story is about Jonah and the Whale - our theme is Animals.
Due to the teacher from the front room being sick, our classes were combined today. We worked on our craft early so it would have time to dry. We made whales out of hand prints and using feathers for the spouts. We painted their hand and placed it on the paper first, then added the body, eyes and feathers last. I had play dough out to play with. We haven't done that in a while so it was fun to roll out and make different things. The toys were open to play with as well as the climber. We ate snack and then watched a video about Jonah and the Whale. Before going to the gym to play for a bit, we listened to some bible story songs. One of the songs we listened to was about Jonah and the Whale. We had the gym to ourselves for a bit, then came in one of the preschool classes. There were a few of the siblings in that group so they all played well together.
Playing in the gym with friends. There were the balls and hoops out to use as well as just running with friends and finding siblings.
Some of my friends were working on catching the ball when thrown to them and others learned how to roll the hoops.
