Bible story for the week - Daniel and the Lion's Den - theme is Dinosaurs.

Today is day 3 of Spirit Week - Super Hero Day.  There was Batman, the Avengers, a dinosaur and Micky Mouse in the room today.  Sorry if I missed one of the super heroes.  Today was a laid back type of day.  We had Chapel this morning so before we went, the kids were playing with the blocks, trucks and the climber.  A couple were in the kitchen area making food.  After Chapel, we made our way back to the classroom and we could feel the heat as we walked back.  It was snack time and then the kids used watercolors to paint their Dinosaur mask - some asked what color to use and I told them to make the dinosaur whatever color they wanted.  They got creative.  We listened to the story of Daniel and the kids sat quietly for that.  Being they were so quiet, we did some dance music to get moving.  Due to the heat, we went to the Commons to play - the gym was being used by the older kids.  We shared the Commons with one of the preschool classes and did some running and jumping around.

On our way to Chapel.  A few of the older kids held hands with the smaller ones.  They are learning to help each other.

Sitting quietly and listening to the message for today. It was about Jesus and baptizing babies.

We have been doing a little water color painting lately and the kids like to use the little trays of color.  They are still working on water, paint, and paper with the brush to get the color on the page.

We have some pretty good dancers in the room.  The boys were just dancing away.  Today we did Baby Shark, Tooty Ta, and a couple of other songs to get some of the wiggles out being it is too hot outside for us.

In the Commons, one preschool class was in there and shared the space with us.  They all played well together - the older kids like to play with the younger ones.  We didn't have any toys to play with but they did run around to tire out.  On our way back to the room, we always like up on the wall so I can make sure we have everyone.
