Today was a laid back day for us.  Both rooms were combined to do our craft and play today.  Today was a first for some of the kids- finger painting with shaving cream.  The kids weren't too sure about it at first but after that first touch, they decided it was fun.We had our snack a little early being we had the Reptile Experience at 10:00 this morning. The handler had several different types of reptiles and then a few different animals if you could call them that - a skink, tarantula and a scorpion.  We were able to touch a few of the reptiles - the snake and the crocodile.  We were able to touch them on the back while the handler held the reptile.  Some of the kids were in awe to find that the skin was dry to the touch, not wet or slimy feeling. It was an interesting event for us.

A little play time before we started our craft for the day.

Finger painting with shaving cream and paint.

A little more play time while waiting to go up to the Commons.

Some pictures of the Reptile Experience we attended in the Commons.  A few of the kids were able to get up close and hold the reptiles.  James volunteered to help hold the albino snake.  He did great.

A hug between friends after the event in the gym.
